Scotia Bio-Hub
Workshops:
Participants join workshops focused on biodiversity, eco-crafting, creating carbon credits, and sustainable farming practices.
Production:
Participants make eco-friendly products like jewellery, candles, woven baskets, recycled paper, wooden items, and textiles using natural materials. They will also grow organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs using sustainable farming practices, ensuring the produce is high-quality and chemical-free.
Sales:
The eco-craft products are sold at exhibitions and pop-up shops. The organic food is sold to local food wholesalers and the hospitality industry, both of which value sustainable, locally sourced products.
Through this step-by-step process, participants actively contribute to biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, and environmental stewardship while gaining valuable skills.
Woodwork
At Scotia, participants engage in Woodwork. Participants take part in transforming recycled wood and ash dieback into eco-friendly crafts like birdhouses and keyholders, promoting biodiversity, sustainability, and local economies through upcycling. Our training teaches essential skills—sawing, chiseling, sanding, and finishing.
Jewellery
Our participants transform discarded materials like plastic, natural stone, slate, and marble into stunning jewellery. Through hands-on training, they learn to use moulding and cutting tools, refine their crafting skills, and perfect the art of display—all while giving new life to materials and promoting sustainability.
